Meet Dr. Helena Lim DDS, MSc, FRCD(C)
Dr. Helena Lim completed specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Toronto, receiving a Master of Science, and a Fellowship in endodontics at the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Through the course of her endodontic residency, Dr. Lim practiced as a general dentist in downtown Toronto. Dr. Lim completed a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario, where she received the American Association of Endodontists Award. Prior to entering dental school, Dr. Lim completed an Honours Bachelor of Science, specializing in Biology, and a Master of Arts degree in Sociology with a full scholarship at the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Lim has extensive involvement in endodontic research, receiving numerous research scholarships, presenting at scientific conferences, and publishing in a highly acclaimed peer-review journal. The main areas of her research include risk factors involved in vertical root fracture and the biomechanical response of root dentin to endodontic instrumentation.
Dr. Lim is committed to providing ethical, compassionate, and gentle care to her patients. She strives to provide the highest standard of care, while ensuring her patients’ comfort. Dr. Lim is fluent in both English and Korean.
She is a member of various professional organizations, including the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC/CRCDC), the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the Canadian Academy of Endodontics (CAE), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), and the Ontario Dental Association (ODA). Dr. Lim frequently attends conferences and lectures for continuing education and to remain engaged in new and innovative research efforts.
